Membership in the Jacob Hochstetler Family Association is inexpensive and rich in benefits to you, the individual supporter, and to the Family Association which you're supporting.

The annual fee is a mere $10 and offers privilege to the following benefits:

1) Automatic suscription to the Monthly "JHFA Newsletter". This publication is packed with directly relevant family information compiled from research conducted by ardent and well-qualified descendants of Jacob Hochstetler. The news is timely, interesting, fact-based and footnoted so you know what you're reading is trustworthy. Many members have collected their newsletters every month and keep them as a heritage gift to their next generation.

The postage alone is almost half of the membership fee and, since the Newsletter is self-published by descendant volunteers, the rest of the membership fees go to cover paper and printing.

2) Opportunities to purchase family relevant books and peripherals that are, more often than not, unavailable anywhere else.

3) Opportunities to participate in family related projects, reunions and group efforts that are also inaccessible without the contact information and detail that is provided in the Newsletter.

4) You will be supporting a unique and dedicated family foundation that can provide updated genealogical research to many generations of Jacob Hochstetler descendants including, hopefully, your own. Since the Jacob Hochstetler Family Association is Non-Profit and depends solely on donations and subscriptions for its survival, your membership is very valuable and very appreciated.

How To Join

A full year's membership costs $10 per member and requires a check written to "JHFA, Inc." be sent to Pat Dickerhoof at  JHFA, Inc. P.O. Box 2085, Elkhart, IN 46515-2085. The membership is for a calendar year and does not automatically renew so we ask membership to mark their calendars in December in order to remember when renewal is due.

Gifting Memberships

Many of our members choose to gift memberships to their immediate and extended family. The educational aspect of learning about our common "geneaological roots" combined with the immense pride that comes from realizing the importance that our family has had in American History, can inspire those of our family that would never have come upon this knowledge without the gift of a membership. Plus, it's cheap.

We ask you to consider gifting memberships to anyone in your family that you feel could benefit. However, if there are several of you living under one roof with a common address, please indicate this on your membership check so that we can be environmentally responsible by sending only one copy of the Newsletter out and save precious funds at the same time.

Unsolicited donations are acknowledged with profound gratitude and gratefully accepted, however, due to the legal structure of our organization, they are not tax deductible.
